Smartphone 2018: New smartphones will be entering India market by February

Many smartphones will be entering India market before the end of February, these was announce in the Moble World Congress held recently , where Samsung also announced its new S9 flaships released along side with S9+. February will be so much interesting as many smartphones will be released and more will be launched in India.

This is not new smartphone, they are currently selling in many countries but will be newly launch in India and starting from 26th of February they will all be on sales.

Here are the list of smartphones that will be launch in India 

Nokia 6

After an year of its debut, the HMD-owned Nokia launched the second generation of the Nokia 6, aptly dubbed Nokia 6 (2018) earlier this month in China. The new phone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, which has been retained from the previous generation Nokia 6 (review). However, the latest model gets a more powerful Snapdragon 630 processor compared to Snapdragon 430 on the predecessor. The Nokia 6 (2018) gets 4GB RAM and will be offered in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB. It retains the remaining spec sheet from the previous device, including a 16-megapixel primary snapper, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 3,000mAh battery. Nokia is expected to price the handset around Rs 15,000 in the country.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 / Redmi 5 Plus

Just last month, Xiaomi launched its first Redmi phones with 18:9 screens in the form of the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in China. While the brand didn’t reveal the global availability of the handsets at that time, they are expected to launch in India soon. The Redmi 5 ships with a 5.7-inch display bearing HD+ resolution and minimal bezels on the front. There is a Snapdragon 450 processor driving the performance of the device, which comes in two variants – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB. For photography, it has a 12-megapixel rear camera accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash, and a 5MP selfie camera with soft LED flash. The phone runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat and is powered by a 3,300mAh battery.

The Redmi 5 Plus on the other hand, gets a bigger 5.99-inch full HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and comes in two variants – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB, along with a beefier 4,000mAh battery. Apart from these differences, it retains the spec sheet of the Redmi 5.

Micromax Bharat Go
Earlier this month, Micromax announced that it will be the first brand to launch an Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone in India. The smartphone is expected to be an entry-level device priced around Rs 2,000, which will make it the most affordable option to come with the latest iteration of Android. The Android Oreo Go Edition is designed for smartphones with less than 1GB RAM. The platform comes with a modified Play Store and optimised Android Go apps like Google Maps Go, YouTube Go, Assistant Go and others. According to Google, these optimized apps are designed to load 15 percent faster on the Android Go Edition. As of now, the spec sheet of Micromax Bharat Go is not known and we will have to wait for the actual launch, which shouldn’t be far off.

Sony Xperia XA2, XA Ultra and L2
The Japanese tech giant Sony took to the stage at CES 2018 to unveil its Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2. These are the first from the brand to come with rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, with the XA2 Ultra also being its first smartphone to offer dual selfie cameras. Speaking of the XA2 first, it comes with 5.2-inch full HD display, Android 8.0 Oreo, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, 3GB RAM, a 23MP rear shooter, an 8MP front snapper and a 3,300mAh battery. The Xperia XA Ultra features a 6-inch full HD screen, Android Oreo, 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel selfie cameras, 23-megapixel rear camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, 4GB RAM and a 3,580mAh battery.

Moving on to the Xperia L2, it’s a budget offering that comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, Android 7.1.1 Nougat, MediaTek MT6735P processor, 3GB RAM, a 13MP autofocus rear snapper, an 8MP front shooter, 4G LTE and a 3,300mAh battery.

Gionee S11

After launching the quad-camera flaunting S11 in China last year, Gionee is all set to bring the phone to India. The mid-ranger from the brand comes with a 5.99-inch 18:9 display bearing full HD+ resolution and a 2.5D curved glass on top. Powering the handset is a 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor, mated to 4GB of RAM. Coming to the USP of the smartphone, it gets a 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera setup on the back, and a 16MP + 5MP array on the front. On the software side of things, the handset runs Amigo OS 5.0 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. A 3,410mAh battery and 64GB expandable storage complete the spec sheet of the handset. Gionee is expected to price the device under Rs 20,000, which will pit it against the quad camera-toting Honor 9i in India.
