Google releases November security update to Pixels and Nexus phones

It has being a Google normal routine releasing the latest security updates every month so this is for the month of November as it bring about some new features to Google Pixel and Nexus improving on the security and some other features.
Pixels phone from Google remain at the top trending in the market, even talking about the recent launched Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL and thankfully their is security patches update rolling out to them including Nexus devices.

The update are rolling out over the air and the notification will be alerting phones in couple of days. Mind you if you're not getting that maybe you have switch off notification and didn't get that then you can check under setting for confirmation.

google is offering factory images and OTA images if you prefer to sideload your update mind you its for developer except you know how to go about it.

The security bulletin has been posted by Google detailing what vulnerability have been patched in Novemeber. Vulnerabilities related to the framework, media framework, and system have been patched in the 2018-11-01 update, while the 2018-11-05 update adds fixes related to the framework and Qualcomm components.

Google has offered up information on the updates specific to the Pixel and Nexus devices as well. The November updates patch vulnerabilities related to HTC and Qualcomm components. There are some functional patches included, too, and they are:

  • Improved performance for devices using picture-in-picture, affecting the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL
  • Improved Strongbox symmetric key generation requests, affecting Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
  • Improved performance for apps using picture-in-picture, affecting Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL
  • Improved stability for notifications, affecting Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL

As we're expecting Google to push out it update in couple of days, Essential has also announce rolling out it update for Essential phones.
