How to check or change Proxy setting of Firefox & Internet Explorer browser with Picture

I believe you have heard about Proxy or IP address by one means or the other but many people don't know what Proxy is all about, I will like to tell you little things about Proxy here, every computer has Proxy or IP address that allow other computer to connect to them. So also on your browser, you have Proxy or IP address in case you want to manipulate or change your address totally.


 Proxies are helpful in many different situations sometimes we are not able or don’t have permission to access any specific website or other featured parts which are restricted in some areas or on specific device. Then by adding your own proxy you can easily access or complete any task you want to do. This tutorial is for those that have never practice this before, and by the end of this tutorial they will be able to check and change their browser IP address 

Here are common browser that many people love to use though in some cases many prefer Chrome and Firefox due to their function but i'm going to talk on the above mentioned. 

3. Proxy Setting for Firefox Browser

⟹ Open Your Mozilla Firefox  ⟹ Tools  ⟹ Options.


⟹ Choose Advanced setting
⟹ Under Advance Tab click on Network and click on Settings button.


⟹ When the window appear , Tick Manual Proxy Configuration,  then input your proxy in the first box and the port. Then check the tick to use for all Protocols


⟹ Save all your settings and you are good to go.

4. Proxy settings for Internet Explorer browser

If you add proxy through Google chrome settings then it works not only for Google chrome also for all other browsers means proxy added through chrome work for whole internet connection.

⟹ Normal procedure , Open your Explorer browser ⟹ Move your mouse to Right Top corner of the browser, then click on  Tools ⟹ Internet Options.


⟹ Under Connection Tab , Click on LAN settings then Input your IP or Proxy into the address box and Port


⟹ After adding check the box of Bypass the proxy server for local settings option. then click on OK



These above settings are Firefox and Internet Explorer but if you make settings on chrome then work for whole internet means no need to add manually in other browsers also.

Note:- If you are not using Mozilla or chrome then for Manually addition proxy into device option your control panel and then find internet option same will appear as for chrome settings.
