Finally Airtel 4G LTE launched, How to enable it on your smartphone

Airtel has finally kill it with their new 4G LTE network , it's being long they are on it , finally we have it.

Recently before it final released , you could only notice the network on your phone but not yet working properly as at then, we think that is when it was undergoing test and now we it.

Airtel 4G LTE service is currently available in more than 3 states and many locations since its recent launch. It has been tested fully working in Lagos, Ibadan and Ogun state.

How to Enable Airtel 4G LTE network
Visit any nearest Airtel 4G LTE store around your area or location and perform or request for a SIM swap and once fully done, you’re welcome to Airtel super fast 4G family.

Go to your Settings >> Mobile networks >>  Preferred network and enable 4G LTE on your 4G enabled device that supports Airtel band 3 (1800MHz).

What Band Does Airtel 4G LTE support?
Airtel 4G LTE supports band 3 (1800MHz) which almost all 4G enabled devices supports. Tecno Phantom 5, Tecno Camon C9, Tecno Droidpad 8D, Infinix Zero 3, Infinix Note 2 LTE and many other phones supports the band. Even Ntel – the advanced 4G network uses 3 (1800MHz) band.

What’s the speed of Airtel 4G LTE network
The speed was tested with Speedtest a simple tool for checking internet speed, Airtel boasts of 28.45 Mbps download speed and 8.77 upload speed. Though, speed might vary depending on your network signal.

How to check the availability of Airtel signal
To check if Airtel network is available in your area, kindly go to Settings >> Mobile networks >> Search networks and see the list of available networks. If Airtel 4G is available, go back and connect.

How to Know the band my phone supports
To check the bands of your 4G enabled phone, kindly dial *#9646633# to enter engineering mode, swipe to “Telephony“, select “Band Mode” and you’ll see the 4G bands your phone actually support.

Airtel is finally here for the anticipating user, you can now enjoy it on your phone though it is not yet available in all state but before the end of this month we have it circulated. Mind you not all smartphone support 4G LTE so make sure you know the makes of your phone.
