Android 9.0 operating system will start rolling out soon with unknown number blocker feature

The latest upcoming operating system may be supporting unknown caller numbers, it has being the next line of target from Android just after the launch of the Android 8 Oreo they have been working towards that and many users are waiting to receive the update.

In the article released , it was said that the coming Android P has the feature that enable blocking of calls from unknown numbers, most especially when you have some numbers disturbing your phone. All private numbers can be blocked including the numbers that are not in your contact list.

Check Below

This is new feature and it's not available on Android but it may be available on the next Android 9.0.

Android P will help you block;
  • Phone number that is not in your contacts list.
  • Phone number that is not disclosed by the caller (Private).
  • Phone number from a pay phone.
  • Number that does not have any caller ID information (Unknown/Unidentified).

In a case, the caller calls in emergency mode, the feature will be disabled. And also, the feature can be disabled in the carrier’s discretion. It’s possible our network providers like (MTN, Glo, 9mobile, Airtel…) will sell you the service for blocking unwanted calls.

We are hoping to see this in the next Android Operating system, and no more over flooding your phone with unknown users.
