Students cautioned in France to stop using cellphones and other devices in class

Is it right allowing student to go with smartphones to school? Smartphone is one of the useful devices to everyone and it has contributed to growth bringing convenience to all task.

We could all remember how difficult it is reaching out to family and friends before the invention of phones. For instance sending messages is made easy through text messages right from your comfort room replacing the stress of posting letters through post offices and some other means.
Looking at it at different angle, through the use of internet (Google) on our smartphones we've being able to find solutions to some assignment in class and some other difficult task, I cannot but say Google is a friend indeed.

Smartphones has brought about educating both young and adult through the use of apps especally game apps and other educative app.

We have a lot of important attached to using smartphone but it seems is getting to abusive point whereby student start shifting most of their attention on phone in class, most of them found touring on social media and checking on unproductive stuffs online which has really affected learning in class.

Currently , lawmakers has decided that students under the age of 15 must leave their cellphones at home or at least have them turned off during the school day and still looking at putting a ban on the use in class.

This measure is extended to the use tablets, computers, and other internet-connected devices as well. But there are exceptions in place for students with disabilities and for the educational use of devices in the classroom and in extra-curricular activities.

I think this scenerio is not only happening in France even some other advanced country needed to be cautioned using cellphone in class putting a restriction to some certain age in order to enhance learning.

It wouldnt have been bad if it's being used appropriately laying asside all form of abuse but at this point looking into it will be of more neccessity, orientating students on how to use cellphone and other devices appropriately.

What's your say on this?
